These Terms of Service govern access to and use of seeran grades(the 'System'). By accessing the system, users agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the system.

1. User Roles and Responsibilities

1.1 Principals: Responsible for managing school accounts, making payments, and ensuring the school’s compliance with the system’s policies. They hold ultimate responsibility for data integrity and subscription management.

1.2 Admins, Teachers, Parents, and Students: Must use the system according to their roles. Misuse of the system or attempts to access unauthorized data will result in termination of access.

System administrators can revoke access to any user who violates these terms. We may also reserve the right to suspend accounts pending investigation of any suspicious activity.

2. Account Creation and Subscription

2.1 Account Creation: A principal must be assigned to a school account before it is activated. The principal is responsible for creating additional user accounts (admins, teachers, parents, and students).

2.2 Subscription Fees: Schools are billed R35 per student per month. Failure to pay within 7 days of the billing date will result in the account being flagged as non-compliant, and access to the system will be restricted until payment is received.

3. Prohibited Activities

Users are prohibited from:

3.1 Using the system for unlawful purposes or engage in any activity that violates any local, national, or international law.

3.2 Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or the system infrastructure.

3.3 Uploading malicious software or attempting to disrupt the System’s performance.

3.4 Sharing login credentials or allowing unauthorized individuals to access the system.

Abuse of the system, including attempts to hack or tamper with accounts, may result in immediate termination of access and may be reported to law enforcement if necessary.

4. Data Responsibility

While we take every reasonable step to ensure data security while in our system, schools are responsible for managing the data once it leaves our infrastructure (e.g., when accessed by users on external devices). Schools must also ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws for data they store and process outside our system.

seeran grades is not responsible for data breaches caused by school negligence, weak security policies, or failure to implement adequate data protection measures outside the system.

5. Payment and Refund Policy

5.1 Subscription Billing: Schools are billed monthly based on the number of student accounts.

5.2 Refunds: All payments are non-refundable once processed.

5.3 Suspension of Services: If a school fails to pay its subscription fee within 7 days from it's billing date, their account will be flagged as non-compliant, and access will be restricted.

During suspension the schools data is retained but inaccessible. If a school account remains unpaid for an extended period (30 days), the schools account will be terminated and all the data concerning the school will get purged from our servers.

6. System Availability

We aim to provide continuous access to seeran grades but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The system may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or other reasons beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses or damages due to system downtime caused by third-party services, force majeure events, or unforeseen technical issues.

7. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

7.1 Any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use or inability to use the system.

7.2 Data loss or corruption due to factors beyond our control (e.g., user error, network outages).

7.3 Unauthorized access to accounts resulting from user negligence (e.g., sharing passwords).

seeran grades and its affiliates are not responsible for any liability for any punitive damages or indirect financial losses.

8. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated via email or system notifications. Continued use of the system after changes indicates acceptance of the new terms.
